Your first visit to Dermatology Specialists of Omaha establishes a foundation for our relationship with you. To understand what to expect for your first visit to our practice, please read through this page. Being prepared for your appointment will ensure that the provider has all the necessary information to provide the best possible care for you.

Automated Reminders

You will receive an automated appointment confirmation call or text 4 days  to your scheduled appointment.  24 hours prior to your appointment you will receive an appointment reminder call or text message. This allows enough time if the need should arise to reschedule your appointment and allow another patient take your original appointment time. If you should have any questions regarding your appointment time, please contact our office specialist to clarify.

Cancellation of Appointments

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment we REQUIRE a 24 hour notice .

No Show

If you fail to keep your appointment and fail to cancel within 24 hours, you may be assessed an appointment hold fee on subsequent appointments. Call our billing office at 402-933-4123 for details.

Save Time

We are excited to announce the launch of Mobile Check-in.  Our patients will receive a text message 24 hours prior to their appointment to check-in.  You are able to confirm your demographic and insurance, attach copies of insurance cards, complete annual forms and pay balances and copayments in the comfort of your home.  To learn more, click here for Mobile Check-in FAQS.

have your insurance card and photo ID

Make sure you have your insurance card and photo ID with you at check in. The office specialist will scan a copy of both cards in our secure system as required by insurance. Please be sure to review the Financial Disclosure. It contains important information about our billing process and the responsibilities of the patient. If your insurance requires you to pay a copay, the office specialist will collect it from you at check-in.

Arrive 10 minutes early

Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes early. This allows time for the office specialist to finalize the checkin process and answer any questions you may have.

Bring list of your medications

Make sure to bring a list of medications that you are currently using. The Clinical Staff will ask you questions to understand your medical history and the condition you are being seen for. Make sure you have questions for the provider. We want you to feel you have all the information needed to understand your treatment and results.

A clinical staff member will be assisting the provider during your visit.

Check out

Once your appointment is done, make sure you stop by the front desk to check out. There, you can schedule a follow up appointment or double check no additional information is required from you.
