Dr. Nelson has been practicing in Omaha since 2003. Prior to coming to Omaha she completed a pediatric dermatology fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. From 1996 to 1999 she completed a pediatric residency followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Medical School at the University of Iowa. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Dermatology with the sub-specialty board certification in Pediatric Dermatology.

Dr Nelson is the only board-certified Pediatric Dermatologist in Iowa and Nebraska and is accepting new patients.

In April 2011, Dr. Nelson received an appointment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
