Fillers
Dermal fillers smooth away wrinkles and creases, leading to a more youthful, rested appearance. These substances can be used to enhance the lips or improve smile lines, marionette lines and lines around the mouth. A series of injections is placed under the skin with immediate, long lasting results. Consult with one of our experienced professionals to see which filler is right for you. Dermal Fillers FAQs 1. Young, healthy skin contains an abundance of hyaluronic acid and collagen. Natural aging, sun exposure and other factors cause a decrease in both substances. This results in loss of volume and structure and leads to unwanted wrinkles and folds in the skin.
A topical numbing agent will be applied to the skin 20 minutes before the procedure, greatly reducing any patient discomfort. All of the fillers we offer contain lidocaine, which diffuses into the skin during the procedure, further reducing any pain.
Botox is primarily used to soften the wrinkles produced by contraction of facial muscles in the upper face (forehead, between brows, crow’s feet). Fillers replace volume loss that causes deeper creases and folds and are most commonly used for smile lines, marionette lines, around the mouth and in the lips.
Transient redness, swelling and bruising can occur. Lumps or granulomas are a rare side effect.
The fillers we offer (Juvederm and Radiesse) will last for approximately one year. Individual results vary from patient to patient.
