Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Physician’s Assistant or Physician. Interviews patients, assists with procedures, and records information on patients’ charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor, manager or physician.

Experience in clinical setting or bilingual is a plus.

Insurance Specialists need a knowledge of explanation of benefits, prior authorization process and determining if the patient needs a referral for the services needed. Billing Specialist Application

Dermatology Specialists of Omaha is pleased to offer college seniors or recent graduates applying to medical school a one-year position with Dr. Anthony Griess’s Mohs surgical team.  This position is designed to provide future medical students the opportunity to develop clinical skills and gain insight into a specific medical profession.

Daily responsibilities will include interviewing and educating patients, administering local anesthesia, assisting with procedures, documenting in an EMR, and scheduling appointments. Effort will be made to tailor the experience to the specific interests and motivations of each gap year student.
